Terms of Use

Last updated: October 5, 2026

We are not mental health professionals, and nothing here is professional advice.

Different At Work is two people sharing lived experience and what we have learned. It is general information and conversation. It is not medical, mental health, legal, or employment advice, it cannot diagnose anything, and it is not about your specific situation.

If you are in crisis or thinking about harming yourself, call or text 988 in the United States, or call your local emergency number. We cannot provide crisis support, and we do not monitor messages around the clock.

The short version

  • We are not your doctor, therapist, lawyer, coach, or HR department. Please do not treat anything here as a substitute for one.
  • What worked for us may not work for you. Make big decisions about your health, your job, or your legal rights with a qualified professional who knows your situation.
  • Be decent in the comments.
  • Share and quote our work with credit. Please do not republish it wholesale.
  • The site is free and offered as it is, without guarantees.

1. These terms

These terms apply to differentatwork.com, the Different At Work podcast wherever you listen to it, our emails, and anything else we publish under the Different At Work name (together, “Different At Work”). Different At Work is owned and published by A Sanders, LLC, a company based in Tampa Bay, Florida, and hosted by Andrew Sanders and Flo LaBrado (“the hosts”).

These terms are an agreement between you and A Sanders, LLC. In them, “we” and “us” mean A Sanders, LLC and the people who make Different At Work on its behalf.

By using Different At Work you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use it. Different At Work is intended for adults aged 18 and over.

2. Not professional advice

We are not mental health professionals. Neither host is a physician, psychiatrist, psychologist, therapist, counselor, or any other kind of licensed clinician, and nobody at Different At Work is acting as your attorney, your HR adviser, or your coach.

Nothing here is advice. Everything we publish, including episodes, articles, transcripts, emails, social media posts, and any reply we send you, is general information, opinion, and personal experience, offered for education and conversation. It is not medical, psychological, psychiatric, therapeutic, legal, financial, human resources, or career advice.

Nothing here is a diagnosis. Nothing we publish can tell you whether you have ADHD, autism, dyslexia, or any other condition, and nothing here is meant to treat one. Only a qualified professional who has evaluated you can diagnose or treat you.

Nothing here is about you specifically. We do not know your history, your health, your workplace, or the law where you live. We do not give direct or individual advice. If we answer your message or reply to your comment, that reply is one person’s perspective. It is not an assessment of your situation and not a recommendation that you do anything.

No professional relationship. Reading, listening, subscribing, commenting, or writing to us does not make you a patient, client, or coachee of A Sanders, LLC or of either host, and it does not create any confidential or professional relationship. A Sanders, LLC is also a consulting firm, Andrew is a business consultant, and Flo is a credentialed leadership coach, but Different At Work is not consulting and not coaching. A consulting or coaching relationship with A Sanders, LLC or with either host exists only under a separate written agreement.

Please do not rely on us in place of a professional. In particular:

  • Do not ignore professional advice, or put off getting it, because of something you read or heard here.
  • Do not start, stop, or change any medication or treatment without talking to the professional who prescribed it.
  • Before you act on something that could affect your job or your legal rights, such as telling an employer about a diagnosis, asking for an accommodation, filing a complaint, or resigning, talk to an employment attorney or another qualified adviser. Employment and disability law differs from place to place and from case to case.

Lived experience is personal. The hosts talk about what has and has not worked for them and for their guests. Brains, jobs, and circumstances differ, and we cannot promise that anything we describe will work for you or produce any particular result.

We can be wrong. We work to get things right and to point to our sources, but research moves on and we make mistakes. We do not guarantee that anything here is accurate, complete, or current.

Whatever you decide to do with what you find here is your decision and your responsibility.

3. If you are in crisis

Different At Work is not a crisis service. We may not see a message or a comment for days.

  • In the United States: call or text 988 to reach the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline, or text HOME to 741741 to reach Crisis Text Line. Both are free and open 24 hours a day.
  • In an emergency: call 911, or your local emergency number if you are outside the United States.

Our Resources page lists more places to find support.

4. Opinions and guests

The hosts speak for themselves and for Different At Work. Their views are not the views of any other employer, client, or organization either of them works with, now or in the past. Guests speak for themselves, and having someone on the show does not mean we endorse everything they say or do. When we mention a book, product, service, or organization, that is not a recommendation that it is right for you.

We link to other websites and list outside organizations on our Resources page because we think some people will find them useful. We do not control them, we have not vetted them for your situation, and we are not responsible for what they say or do. Do your own research and choose the help that is right for you.

6. Sponsors and paid links

If an episode or article is sponsored, or if we could earn money when you follow a link, we will say so clearly in the place where it appears.

7. Comments and messages

We are glad to hear from you. When you comment or write to us, please do not:

  • harass, threaten, or demean anyone;
  • share another person’s private information, including anyone’s health information or diagnosis;
  • share your employer’s confidential information;
  • tell other readers what medication or treatment they should take or stop;
  • post spam, advertising, or anything unlawful.

Comments are public. Think before sharing something personal about yourself, because it cannot always be taken back once others have read it. Comments from other readers are their own views, not ours, and they are not professional advice either.

We may hold, edit for length, decline to publish, or remove any comment, and close comments on any page, at our discretion.

You keep ownership of what you write. By posting a comment, you give us permission to display it on the site for as long as the page it is on stays online. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle comments and messages, including that we will not identify you on the show from a private message unless you have agreed.

8. Our content

The episodes, articles, transcripts, artwork, and design of Different At Work belong to A Sanders, LLC or are used with permission, and the Different At Work name and logo are ours.

You are welcome to listen, read, link to us, share episodes and articles, and quote short excerpts as long as you credit Different At Work and link back. Please ask first before you republish whole articles, episodes, or transcripts, use our work commercially, or use our name or logo in a way that suggests we endorse you. Write to info@differentatwork.com.

If you believe something on the site infringes your copyright, email us at the same address with the details and we will look into it promptly.

9. Email subscription

Subscribing by email is optional and free, and you can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email. See the Privacy Policy for how we handle your address.

10. No guarantees

Different At Work is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent the law allows, we make no warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranty of accuracy, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not promise that the site will always be available, free of errors, or secure.

11. Limits on our liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, A Sanders, LLC, its owners, the hosts, and anyone else who contributes to Different At Work will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss arising from your use of, or reliance on, anything we publish, including any decision you make about your health, your treatment, your employment, or your legal rights. The total liability of all of them together for any claim connected with Different At Work will not exceed 100 US dollars.

Some places do not allow some of these limits. Where that is the case, they apply only as far as the law permits, and nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited.

12. Your responsibility for what you post

You are responsible for what you post or send to us. If someone brings a claim against A Sanders, LLC or the hosts because of something you posted, or because you broke these terms, you agree to cover the reasonable costs that result.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute connected with them or with Different At Work will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Florida, and you and we agree to the jurisdiction of those courts.

14. Changes and other details

We may update these terms. When we do, we will change the date at the top, and continuing to use Different At Work after that means you accept the updated terms. If any part of these terms turns out to be unenforceable, the rest still applies. These terms, together with the Privacy Policy, are the whole agreement between you and us about Different At Work.
